Today, a wonderful evening dedicated to the Ukrainian language took place in our library!
We talked about how our language developed and suffered from numerous bans, why people in Ukraine speak Russian, and why it is important to speak Ukrainian abroad.
Additionally, everyone played the game "Shevchenko Asks," and the winners received great prizes. Specifically, invitations to a pizza-making workshop sponsored by our contest for Library Day and Ukrainian Language Day by the restaurant "Etna," opened by a Ukrainian couple from Dnipro, which serves authentic Italian pizza and pasta.
Invitations to the workshop were also awarded to participants of our recitation contest. Moreover, the winners received books from the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory and "Legends of Kyiv and the Dnipro Region."
We hope this will further encourage our youth to read.
