On shared history, modern relations and Russian propaganda - a discussion at the Ukrainian library in Kielce

This weekend in our library was very productive. We had an incredibly interesting and valuable meeting with Ms. Olena Okhrimchuk, who brought us a fascinating lecture and a wealth of useful literature from the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.

We discussed the history of Ukraine and drew parallels between the Bolshevik occupation of Ukraine and the current one, starting in 2014.
We had a heated discussion about the future and what we need to do to make people more aware.
Ms. Olena clearly explained how Russian propaganda works and what the true intentions of rashism towards Ukraine are.

We also touched on the topic of Polish-Ukrainian history and relations. Overall, as always in our space, the atmosphere was very warm and friendly.

We thank Ms. Olena for making the journey to us, and we also thank everyone who cares about our history and present. We must carry this knowledge forward – among Ukrainians and Poles alike.
